Another tech review and this time it is for a pair of over-ear bluetooth headphones by Betron. The

Betron BN15 Bluetooth Headphones, Wireless 10m Range, Built in Microphone for iPhone, iPad, iPod, Mp3 players, Tablets and More

As an avid music and audiobook listener I use headphones all the time whether it being jamming out around the house, out and about walking or listening to audiobooks of an evening or whilst typing. Now the most important things for me when considering headphones are price, sound quality and comfort but we'll get more into that a little later. Lets get the details out the way and then on to the review.

Enjoy all-day listening while you ditch the cord. The BN15 Bluetooth Wireless on-ear headphones use Bluetooth functionality for on-board music control and have a built in microphone, long lasting battery and comfortable ear pads.

Wireless listening
Free yourself from wires that get snagged or tangled -Headphones use Bluetooth to wirelessly stream music from your smartphone, MP3 player or laptop with a range of up to 10 metres. There's no need to pair your devices each time either, as your BN15 Headphones automatically connect after initial setup.

Play or talk
An on-board mic, remote and volume control makes it easy to take hands-free calls or adjust your music, with all controls conveniently positioned on the earcup.
Enjoy your favourite tunes with BN15 Headphones which delivers attacking, powerful bass, warm, natural vocals and precisions highs, no matter what your choice of music is.

I have owned many headphones over the years and one thing I can't stand is earbuds! I find them so uncomfortable! In my ears they literally itch and I know some people like to completely drown out the world around them when listening, I however while listening still be able to hear what is going on around me especially if I'm walking out and about. I prefer the older in-ear headphones that fit snugly in my ear without burrowing down my ear canal or the older over-ear or tortoiseshell headphones purely for comfort.

Money-wise I prefer paying for quality over brand names when making a purchase. For example, why would I pay £300+ for a pair of Beats Audio headphones when technologically they contain the same equipment and wiring as a £40-£50 pair of headphones? Oh and an added piece of metal to make them feel heavier. Again that being said, ordinarily I wouldn't spend more than £30 on a pair mainly due to the fact that at some point they are going to break and I don't want to be shelling out more money for another pair.

Ok so now the important stuff, the review. First of all the listing price for these headphones is £44.95 on Amazon, however when I bought these there were on Amazon's Lightning sale for £24.99 so bonus on the price front, they fit within my price range.

In the box you get

Headphones, Cloth Carry Bag, Charging Cable, 3.5mm audio jack cable, Manual and Warranty Card

As you can see from the picture above the headphones can be folded for easier storage and though a light fit, the headphones and cables do fit comfortably within the bag once past the opening. Another added benefit is if your battery charge does run out you have the option of continuing to use them with the audio jack cable so a win-win there!

Comfort-wise, these headphones have large squishy cushions that fit well and do block out a lot of external noise when in use, however as with any over-ear headphones and also as someone with slightly larger ears than most, prolonged use will start to cause some discomfort. But really you aren't supposed to use them for hours on end. I did however use them one night to listen to an audiobook and as often happens I fell asleep whilst listening (kind of the point, it's how I go to sleep.) Upon waking I discovered that in my sleep I had managed to damage one of the speaker cables running through the hinged section, though I have now fixed this. So I wouldn't recommend sleeping in these, at least in a horizontal position. Sleeping in an upright position such as on a plane, train or automobile is fine.

Lastly sound quality out of these headphones is great! They're not a pair of DJing headphones so they're not going to be absolutely amazing but its great enough for everyday use and for pretty much all music types (personally I have a very eclectic taste in music). Bass and treble adjustments from your playing device are noticeable and generally you don't need to turn the volume up to the max, even lower levels are still pretty loud.

As an addition to being a rather good pair of headphones, the Betron B15 also acts as a bluetooth communication headset. I have connected it up to my PC and it works well with Skype and other VOIP programs however sadly I have been unable to connect it to my phone but I believe that this may be due to my phone being and older model and not having the same bluetooth protocol and the headphones, and as sensible person I don't have and iPhone or iPad to test them with either, but I believe most users can connect with them without a problem.

Ok build quality. Overall, the headphones are lightweight and have an almost satin finish or feel. Though predominantly plastic and light, it doesn't feel cheap but also doesn't feel expensive either. Range of the bluetooth is approximately 10 metres, though I don't really see why in all honestly you would go that much further than that away from your device, I mean come on people, we are taking 30 feet. The bluetooth range is standard across all bluetooth enabled devices.

There are adjusters on both sides so you can easily change the length of the arms to comfortably fit to any head size. I have seen some review of this product where the headband has snapped during use and to me this is due to the headband being put under too much stress. Remember this is a rigid piece of plastic with some flex but not much, you need to adjust the length of the arms to avoid putting undue force on the central point. With care, as with anything these headphones will last you a long time and provide you with great audio.

Of over 1900 reviews of the Betron B15 headphones they have received a 4.5 out of 5 on Amazon and this user agrees. The B15s are a great pair of affordable headphones on sale or at full price.
